A welcoming place for personal growth
Here, children, young people, and adults can take time to slow down, feel safe, and explore new ways to grow through counselling, nature-based activities, and spending time with horses and animals.

Equine Assisted Therapy
Equine-assisted therapy brings together counselling and safe, respectful interactions with horses.
Sessions may include observing the horses, grooming, leading, groundwork, mindfulness activities, body awareness, emotional regulation exercises, boundary work, and reflective conversations.
You do not need any horse experience. Sessions are adjusted to fit your comfort and needs.
Equine-assisted therapy may be helpful if you find traditional talk therapy difficult, feel more at ease outdoors, enjoy being around animals, or connect better through hands-on, practical activities rather than talking alone.

Counselling
Grounded Steps provides counselling in a calm, supportive, and private setting.
Counselling can support people experiencing stress, anxiety, low confidence, emotional overwhelm, life changes, relationship challenges, grief, school or work pressures, family issues, self-esteem, or personal growth goals.
Sessions are centred on you and your needs. Depending on what you need, they may include talk therapy,
grounding techniques, mindfulness, learning about emotions, reflection, goal setting, and building practical
skills.

Corporate Programs
Grounded Steps provides corporate and workplace wellbeing programs that support connection,
communication, leadership, boundaries, emotional awareness, and team relationships.
Working with horses is a unique way to explore how people communicate, handle pressure, build trust, listen, lead, and work together. Horses respond to clarity, consistency, calmness, and respectful boundaries—qualities that are also important in workplace teams.
Corporate programs may be suitable for:
- Team building
- Leadership development
- Workplace wellbeing
- Communication skills
- Stress awareness
- Burnout prevention
- Reflective practice days
- Small group connection days
Programs can be customised to fit your workplace or organisation’s needs
